Ancillary Products

EPRO’s ancillary products offer various benefits that can enhance the building process. Products like E.tape, e.poly and e.hanger all bring different benefits to the table, while simultaneously offering high-performance ratings. These strong, durable products are able to withstand harsh conditions and to perform well within most projects. Some ancillary products, like e.poly, are used in every E.Series assembly, proving how efficient and astonishing the product really is.

Take a closer look at EPRO’s ancillary products to see all the different benefits and characteristics each product offers:

e.poly

e.poly is a polyester fabric that is designed to reinforce membrane terminations, transitions, penetrations, seams and general repair areas. Used in every E.Series assembly, e.poly is installed between two layers of E.roll or E.spray.

e.poly is a 100% polyester textile material composed of staple fibers hydraulically entangled. e.poly benefits include:

  • Excellent conformability and elongation.
  • Exceptional tear-resistance and high-tensile strength.
  • Open weave allows complete saturation and integration.

It is not suitable for expansion joints or areas where movement is desired.

e.hanger

e.hanger is designed to properly secure in place an E.Series membrane assembly on shoring walls or below-grade to vertical wall transitions or over-excavated walls. Secure using galvanized steel shot pins to shoring walls after the application of the specified base sheet or directly to over-excavated concrete. e.hanger allows for proper securement of heavy and robust membrane assemblies without additional system penetrations.

e.hanger is a 2” x 2” galvanized steel base with a 1”, 2” or 6” steel pin. Stainless steel e.hangers are also available. e.hanger benefits include:

  • Ensures proper detailing of the fasteners used to hold vertical membrane assemblies in place.
  • Eliminates the need for additional penetrations after system assembly.
  • Holds systems in place during shotcrete application.

e.adhesive

E.adhesive is designed as a surface adhesion promoter for a wide range of substrates when a fast drying, solvent free, tacky surface is required. Primarily used as a primer for EPRO waterstops, including e.stop b and e.stop hpl, e.adhesive is applied directly to concrete to provide a tacky substrate to secure e.stop in place prior to fastening of the waterstop.

E.adhesive is a high-tack, acrylic emulsion primer available in 1 gallon pails. E.adhesive benefits include:

  • Quick drying.
  • Water-based, environmentally-friendly and low VOC.
  • Tacky film provides strong adhesion to desired substrate.
  • Easily applied with a brush or roller.

Do not apply over standing water or loose substrates, and keep from freezing.

This sheet is made from proprietary polyolefin resins that have been independently tested against ASTM E 1745 requirements (Standard Test Methods for Water Vapor Barriers used in contact with earth under concrete slabs) showing superior permeance and superior physical properties.

PreTape

PreTape is a seaming, detailing and repairing tape that is used for positive-side applications. Concrete is cast directly against the tape and the aggressive adhesive layers work together to form a continuous and integral seal to the structure eliminating lateral water migration.

PreTape is an HDPE-reinforced tape with an aggressive adhesive that bonds strongly to HDPE, PSA, metal, PVC and other substrates. The top side of the tape is coated with PreTak’s weather-resistant, pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) and is designed to bond directly to concrete.

PreTape can be used to reinforce manufactured adhesive seam overlaps, end laps, penetrations, details, damage to the membrane, adhere to soldier pile flanges and more. PreTape benefits include:

  • Dual-sided adhesive tape: PSA for concrete adhesion, HDPE adhesive for seam and penetration detailing.
  • Forms a continuous adhesive bond to poured-in-place concrete to prevent lateral water migration.
  • Strong HDPE adhesive prevents seam popping which occurs due to environmental exposure.
  • Easy to apply and creates fully-adhered, watertight, adhesive seams.
  • Flexible and easily applied for detailing and seaming.

PreTape D

PreTape D is a seaming, detailing and repairing tape that is used for sandwich seam applications. PreTak seams and detailing patches are adhered to both sides of the tape to form a continuous and integral seal to the structure eliminating lateral water migration.

PreTape D is a double-sided, thick, adhesive tape formulated with an aggressive adhesive that bonds strongly to HDPE, PSA, metal, penetrations, protrusions, and detailing and repairing PreTak membranes and is protected with a release liner. PreTape D can be used to seal seam overlaps, end laps, penetrations, details, damage to the membrane, adhere to soldier pile flanges and more.

PreTape D is 15-mil (0.4 mm) tape consisting of a single layer of aggressive adhesive protected with a release liner. PreTape D benefits include:

  • Dual-sided adhesive tape for high-strength sandwich seams and penetration detailing.
  • Forms a continuous, adhesive bond to prevent lateral water migration.
  • Chemical resistant, therefore effective in most types of soils including hydrocarbon-laden soils.
  • Strong HDPE adhesive prevents seam-popping due to environmental exposure.
  • Easy to apply, fully-adhered, watertight adhesive seams.
  • Provides a barrier to water, moisture, gas and vapor.
  • Flexible and easily applied for detailing and seaming.

PM Sealant

PM Sealant is a Silyl Terminated Polyether (STPE) non-isocyanate detailing sealant that combines the strength of polyurethanes with the weathering-resistance of silicones. PM Sealant can withstand the most stringent requirements for high-performance bonding and elasticity under severe aging and UV-weathering conditions without cracking or yellowing when subjected to extended UV-light exposure.

PM Sealant is used for penetration detailing as a seam edge and patching detailing sealant along the transition construction joint between two pours, and for sealing an applied-termination bar.

Compliances: Conforms to ASTM C920, Type S, Grade NS, Class 50, Use T, NT, I, G and A. AAMA 802.3 Type II Back Bedding Compound.

PM Sealant is a single-component 100% solid moisture-cured elastomeric (STPE) sealant. PM Sealant benefits include:

  • Replaces silicone and urethane sealants.
  • Does not require a primer.
  • Cures rapidly, even at low temperatures, and retains its properties to -50°F (-45°C).
  • Non-reactive, therefore will not oxidize or corrode metals.
  • Does not contain VOCs.
  • Provides a continuous smooth surface.

NovaTape

NovaTape is a single-sided butyl adhesive seaming tape that is backed with NovaTak’s butyl rubber membrane that ionically fuses to fresh concrete to eliminate lateral water migration along the seam.

NovaTape is used for detailing positive lap seams and for patching the NovaTak membrane. NovaTape’s butyl adhesive forms an integral bond to the NovaTak butyl membrane that rivals the strength of heat-welded seams while maintaining the flexibility of a butyl rubber membrane.

NovaTape is a 70 mil (1.8 mm), dual-layer seaming tape consisting of a release liner- protected adhesive butyl layer that is bonded to a NovaTak butyl rubber membrane backing. NovaTape benefits include:
