BentoPro+ System

Because bentonite clay swells upon contact with water, it makes for a naturally powerful, self-sealing waterproofing material for post- and pre-applied below-grade foundation applications including freestanding walls, foundations, tunnels, elevator pits and blindside applications to various shoring systems including timber lagging, caissons, sheet pile and shotcrete retention systems.

BentoPro+ consists of a layer of granular bentonite laminated with impermeable high-density polyethylene film and non-woven polypropylene. This composite design produces a high-performance, tough, self-sealing and vapor-impermeable water barrier capable of withstanding inclement weather, hydrostatic conditions and other factors encountered in today’s construction industry.

BentoPro+ is a multi-layer sheet waterproofing system consisting of a self-sealing, expandable layer of granular bentonite laminated to an impermeable high-density polyethylene film with a protective layer of non-woven polypropylene laminated to the bentonite. This three layer composite forms a high-performance waterproofing system that is tough, self-sealing, vapor impermeable and able to withstand inclement weather, hydrostatic conditions and other factors encountered in today’s construction environment.

BentoPro+ is highly effective when waterproofing for post- and pre-applied below-grade foundation applications including freestanding walls, foundations, tunnels, elevator pits and blindside applications to various shoring systems including incorporating timber lagging, caissons, sheet pile and shotcrete retention systems.

Applications include most below-grade concrete structures requiring a high-performance waterproofing system that protects against water intrusion from hydrostatic head pressure, and is able to resist damage during construction from inclement weather and extreme construction techniques.
