The 2024 EPRO Charity Cup took place on April 18 at the Kraken Community Iceplex in Seattle..and we have to start our recap off thanking everyone for their time, their generosity, and their superb hockey skills. Together, we raised $6,500, an amount that is being matched dollar-for-dollar, meaning we achieved a grand total of $13,000.
With all the excitement and networking, we were proud to give to this charity which helps families keep their homes, helps unsheltered families move back into housing quickly, and supports the operation of Mary's Place shelters for families needing to come inside tonight.
And now for the game! Team E.Series (green) and Team PreTak (blue) battled it out with a nail-biting finish; Team PreTak swooped in to score at the last minute, but E.Series were the victors winning 8 – 2. (Click through the gallery to see photos from the game.)
Only one errant player ended up in the penalty box, which meant it was a fairly civilized game after all!
Over 60 folks came to watch the fun, and we had a great crew of industry professionals at the networking event afterwards. Even the Kraken mascot appeared to salute the winners and raise the EPRO cup!
We could not have had a successful event without the help of Marty Houston of Walsh Construction, the EPRO team, and our donors including:
