Waterstops

EPRO’s waterstops, BentoTak and e.stop, both work toward the same goal: stopping water infiltration through cast-in-place concrete at construction joints and penetrations. These active swelling waterstops are fully encased in concrete to seal off water ingress and are highly resistant to hydrostatic pressure. Their easy and fast installation allows for maximum efficiency in the construction field. The waterstops are capable of conforming to irregular surfaces and sealing around pipe penetrations, making them perfect for everyday tasks that the building industry faces.

e.stop b

An expanding strip waterstop, e.stop b is designed to stop water infiltration through cast-in-place concrete construction joints. It expands upon contact with water to form a positive seal against the concrete. The key to e.stop b’s effectiveness is that it is highly expansive, which seals and fills voids in cracks and concrete.

Moisture-activated, high sodium bentonite is what makes up e.stop b. It can be fully encased in concrete to seal off water ingress; it will activate as soon as water touches it by swelling to seal off openings. It can create seals around pipe penetrations, has high-resistance to hydrostatic pressure and is fast and easy to install, especially when pouring against existing concrete.

However, this is not a self-adhering product and it requires the use of E.adhesive before securing waterstop to concrete, metal or PVC (Pipe) surfaces. It is not designed to be — nor intended to be used as — an expansion joint sealant.

It requires a minimum of 3” (75 mm) of concrete coverage with a minimum of 3,000 psi compressive strength. It is not resistant to pre-hydration.

Installing e.stop b is simple and does not require special equipment, and it can cover 16.67 linear feet. Its packaging comes with six rolls per case; each roll being 16.67’ x ¾” x 1”.

BentoTak

BentoTak is a delayed-swell bentonite self-adhesive waterstop strip designed to stop water infiltration through cast-in-place concrete construction joints and penetrations. BentoTak bentonite-polymer putty can withstand ponding water for up to 7 days and can be applied in wet conditions. The polymers within Bentotak reduce the swelling capability of the bentonite from 1000% to 200%, increasing the bentonite density within the joint while keeping joint pressure at a minimum.

Unlike expanding hydrophilic waterstops that create a rigid gasket water barrier, BentoTak swells within the joint to fill any cracks and voids in the concrete. This swelling action does not subject the concrete joint to excessive expansion pressures which often lead to cracks in and around the concrete joint. BentoTak can be reactivated nearly indefinitely during wet/dry cycling and only activates around the areas of water intrusion.

BentoTak is encased in a poly-vinyl acetate (PVA) film that is a water-activated adhesive, eliminating the need for primers or mechanical fastening. It is composed of a malleable putty made of polymer-modified sodium bentonite clay encased in a PVA water-activated adhesive film. BentoTak benefits include:

e.stop gu

Made of self-adhering gunnable expanding waterstop paste, e.stop gu is designed to stop water infiltration through cast-in-place concrete at construction joints and penetrations. It expands upon contact with water to form a positive seal against the concrete in question. The key to E.stop gu’s effectiveness is that it is highly expansive, which seals and fills voids in cracks and concrete, and is easy to apply using caulking equipment.

For shotcrete applications, e.stop gu requires a double layer application with a minimum 1-inch separation. e.stop gu benefits include:
