AtmoSeal VP
AtmoSeal VP is a single-component, silyl-terminated polyether (STPE) fluid-applied air and water-resistive barrier for above-grade application in exterior wall assemblies. Applied by spray or roller at 20 mils, AtmoSeal VP cures to form a seamless, flexible membrane. Exceeding 20 perms at full installed thickness, AtmoSeal VP delivers exceptional vapor permeability while preventing air and water infiltration. Wall assemblies dry rapidly, reducing the risk of trapped moisture, mold, and condensation-related failures. AtmoSeal VP bonds to dry and wet common construction substrates, including exterior gypsum sheathing, plywood, OSB, CMU, and concrete — without separate primers. Solvent-free, isocyanate-free, and low-VOC, AtmoSeal VP installs in a wide range of weather conditions and integrates with AtmoFlash VP sealant to create a complete, code-compliant air barrier system with a UV exposure window up to 12 months.
Highlights
Exceeds 20 perms at 20 mil thickness, delivering exceptional drying capacity and physical performance.
Single-component STPE chemistry, applied by spray or roller in a single coat with no loss of mil thickness after drying.
Forms a seamless and elastomeric air barrier on gypsum sheathing, plywood, OSB, CMU, and concrete.
Meets the most demanding commercial code requirements: ASTM E84 Class A, AAMA 714-19, and compatible with NFPA 285 wall assemblies.
12-month UV exposure window provides scheduling flexibility through extended construction timelines and weather delays.
Wide application temperature range with cold-weather application down to 20°F and rain-ready cure that resists wash-off shortly after application.
AtmoSeal VP with AtmoFlash VP detailing sealant combine to form a continuous air and water-resistive barrier system without the need for separate self-adhered membrane materials.
